Brother Kyle May invited all of the pastors in Newton County to a luncheon at the 3 Flags Restaurant in Bon Wier to discuss how we might cooperate together to help the community. Representatives from the East Texas Health Access Network (ETHAN) were also present. Discussions focused on using the Newton Office as a central location to offer help to people in need. People have traditionally gone to local churches to ask for assistance with electric bills, food, etc. By having Melanie Fowler coordinate these efforts greater efficiency and effectiveness is achieved.
