Confirmation is an important time in anyone's life. It is when one claims the name of Christian or disciple for himself or herself. Having been baptized as an infant, one then makes a profession of faith at a later date. Prior to confirming the vows that were made for an infant, we recommend an intensive period of study, reflection, and prayer that we call "confirmation class". I feel like this class should be taught by the pastor although it is great to have lay involvement. This class gives some time for the pastor to get to know the future confirmands, and it gives the confirmands exposure to good Christian Doctrine. Brittny Bacon, Aaron Shoemaker, and Haley Shaver completed this class and were confirmed on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007

I guess this is something like dumping gatorade on the coach; the pastor was treated to a confetti bath immediately following confirmation on April 8.

The following picture was taken on March 7, 2007, one of our last sessions prior to confirmation. It was such a pretty spring day that we moved the class outdoors.

This is a serious time for reflection and study. To illustrate how serious this occasion, a few pictures are shown from our October 5 confirmation class.
