Graduation Day 2008

Each year the 4 years old class "graduates". They are now ready to attend Newton Elementary School (NES) Kindergarten in the fall. It is a bittersweet moment. This year, Angie Stanley, the 4 years old teacher, spoke eloquently and nostalgically about her year with her kids. She shed some tears realizing the parting that comes with the natural maturation of children. However, she knows that her kids all scored above average in the pre-Kindergarten testing given by NES.  Our kids always do well in school because they have had a solid beginning at the Methodist Christian School. Graduation took place in the worship center of the church at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, May 22, 2008. Along with graduation, all of the teachers spoke and presented each kid with an award. Therefore, attendance was not limited to the graduating class of 7, but all children, parents, grandparents, and friends.

At the end of the ceremony, the 4 teachers, presented Amy Speakman, the MCS Director, with a gift in appreciation of her leadership.

Following the ceremony, the church served refreshments to the teacher, students, and families.
