This particular project is located in Newton. The new house is being built behind a mobile home that is really unlivable due to Rita damage. The project materials are being funded by DETCOG and Self Help Housing of East Texas. This project is being done by the MDS group at the RV center at First United Methodist Church.

During the week of November 2nd, the rush was on to get the roof done before the autumn rains started. These pictures were taken on Wednesday, November 5. People from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia were working this week. Notice the new windows.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

By Monday, November 10, the roof was completed and siding was started. Interior electrical work was underway.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The outside work was interrupted by a hard rain on Tuesday, November 11, but the interior progressed. These pictures were taken on Wednesday, November 12. The electrical work progresses.
