The Judy Griggs Project
This particular project is located in Newton. The front porch was replaced. There was structural damage to the porch and the floor had given way. The materials for this project were obtained by Self Help Housing of East Texas. In January 2009, MDS returned to refurbish the badly damaged kitchen area. |

February 2, 2009, a contingent from Mifflin County, Pennsylvania was on hand to continue the work on the kitchen area. The sheetrock, electrical, and sub floor had already been done, and work on finishing and installing cabinets was underway. Mifflin County is not far away from Penn State. These folks told me that they play football at Penn State. |

| On February 10, 2009, the Kitchen cabinets were complete. Judy is very proud and appreciative of the work that MDS did. She is now a strong advocate for MDS! She proudly shows off the various things that MDS did for her, like the beautiful front door. |
