| On November 8, 2009, we had multiple baptisms in our church. The son and daughter-in-law of Jim and Linda Will (members) and their family participated. Roberta Will, 5th person from the right, made her profession of faith and was baptized. Her sister, 2nd from the right, was her Godmother. Roberta's and Chris Will's daughter, Stormie Rae Will (asleep on her dad's shoulder) was baptized. Her Godparents are Santiago (3rd from left) and Cecelia (3rd from left). Cecelia is Roberta's niece. Cecelia's and Santiago's son Alejandro Avila Espinoza was baptized, and his Godparents are Roberta and Chris Will. Alejandro's proud grandparents are at the far left. Stormie's big brother Sage and big sister Sidney are also in the picture. A great event for our church. | ||

Rusty and LaDawn Leasman and their two daughters, Katy and Jillian, joined our church on June 4, 2006. Rusty comes to us from another United Methodist Church and LaDawn from a church of another denomination. The very same day that they joined they were elected as chairpersons of our Children's and Youth Ministries Committee. The Church Council that elected them met that same day at 4:00 PM. We sure are overjoyed to welcome them to this part of the Body of Christ. Rusty is the manager of the Dollar General Store in Jasper, and they reside in Newton. They are leading our UM Youth Fellowship on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM. |
