Burkeville United Methodist Church is at it again. After frying 100 turkeys for Thanksgiving, they decided to do the same thing for Christmas. Joined by the Baptist Church in Burkeville, they set up 14 deep frying pots at the fairgrounds and fried and wrapped 100 birds. The turkeys were stored in a large refrigerated trailer for pick up the next day. The frying was done on Wednesday, December 20th.  This work was coordinated by Charlet Meyer of the County Extension Office. Funding came from the Newton Food Share.
