The Newton County Courthouse 

History in the Making
How many people remember what the Newton County Courthouse looked like before it burned down? I do not because it burned down before I arrived in June of 2004. The burning was a historic occasion because it marked the end of an era. When it is reopened, a new era will begin. However, how many will remember the transition between eras? The following pictures show some scenes from the transition era, as the building in renovated.
