The Mennonite Disaster Service
This was a particularly interesting project because the Mennonites started this house, and it was finished by St. Paul's United Methodist Church from Lincoln, Nebraska.
This home that is owned by Prentice and Bernice Lane was severely damaged.

The following text and pictures come from February 1, 2006: The Lanes had significant damage to their roof. The Marvelous Mennonites have built a new roof over the old one with a proper pitch to it. They are in the process of finishing up by putting new fascia in the front. The sides have yet to be enclosed, so you can see the new roof over the old one from the end view. Outstanding work as usual. This particular crew of workers is from Manitoba and South Dakota. Some of them have just returned from a month's worth of work in west Texas... building a new church. |
