St. Paul's United Methodist Church
Lincoln, Nebraska
Two different projects
These projects were particularly interesting because the Mennonites started them, and they were finished by St. Paul's United Methodist Church from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Project 1, the Lane House
This narrative takes up where the Lane Project leaves off!

The following text and pictures come from February 16, 2006: You may remember all of the outside work that was done on the Lane House in Burkeville. The Mennonite Disaster Service put on a new roof. St. Paul's United Methodist Church from Lincoln, Nebraska, is in town this week. They are staying at Whispering Creek and working at several sites. Here they are painting the ceilings. After the painting is complete, this project will be complete. |

Pictures and text from February 21, 2006 ; You may recall the pictures of the Mennonite Team working on the supporting structure of the Jean Welty House. It is a house that is several feet off the ground because it is in the Sabine river bottom, and the posts supporting were badly damaged. Then a new roof was installed. St Paul's United Methodist Church from Lincoln, Nebraska, removed badly damaged ceiling tiles. These will be replaced with sheetrock and painted. The group picture shows Ms. Welty with the volunteers. |
