On Wednesday, August 9, 2006, The Newton Lions Club and the Newton Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Back-to-school luncheon for all staff of the Newton Independent School District. The food was prepared by the staff at Shady Acres and served by the cheerleaders and the Lions Club. This is one of those "Newton things" that shows how much we appreciate all of those who are involved in educating our children and youth. This is an important annual event!
