Thanksgiving 2008

The Newton Food Share was in operation on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We supplied food to needy families so they could have a holiday dinner. This year, Burkeville United Methodist Church, the County Extension Office, and the Newton Volunteer Fire Department added something extra to our community efforts. They supplied turkeys and groceries to families in Newton County. One of the distribution points was the Christian Community Life Center of First United Methodist Church in Newton. On the day before pickup by families they worked hard bringing in the food and packaging it.
