On Monday, June 19, 2006, First United Methodist Church of Crane, Texas, came to Newton to do Rita Restoration work. They also sponsored and led a Vacation Bible School at the Mark and Lydia Bean Youth Center on MLK Boulevard. They were assisted by First United Methodist Church of Newton and New Beginning Church of God in Christ. Vacation Bible School is held each day, Monday through Thursday 2:00--5:00 PM.

On Monday morning, June 19, the volunteers from Crane were already leading the effort to prepare for Vacation Bible School by decorating the interior of The Mark and Lydia Bean Youth Center

 

On the ladder is Mary Schul. Mary was her with the Texas Baptist Men in October removing trees from roofs.
